Sacred Rites, Unscripted Nights

Some weddings begin with noise. Aditya and Deveka’s began with fire.
At Sri Sivan Temple, Aditya and Deveka sat beneath marigolds and sacred chants as ancient Hindu rites unfolded around them. Rice scattered into the fire. Blessings passed from hand to hand. And in between the rituals, their personalities kept slipping through. A sideways glance. A laugh they tried to hide.
But their celebration did not stop there.
The next day turned into something entirely their own. Music. Movies. Pub quizzes. Guests arrived dressed for the theme while tables carried names inspired by cult films and bands. A quiz that had friends shouting answers across the room. A photobooth that never stayed quiet. Godzilla shaped ice cubes floating in drinks beside Vada Pav and pizza.
It felt less like a wedding reception and more like the kind of night Aditya and Deveka would host if all their favourite people happened to be in the same room.
Because for Aditya and Deveka, love was never meant to sit still. It was always meant to be played together.
